Is it possible to get any deadly virus through a pointy object?

i mean a pointed object like the tip of a drawing compass, lets say its imported from china and was bled on during production, then it was exported to a neighboring country the someone got poked with the compass after he bought it. on the sole of his foot, it went through the skin on the sole but did not draw blood, i didnt bleed... is it possible to get deadly viruses and or infections?
